SWC Poker first launched in August of 2011 as the now close Seals with Clubs to offer bitcoin poker to players from around the world including the United States.
The site was created by a team of online poker players that were looking for a solution to the events of Black Friday, the day the US Department of Justice took down poker giants Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars.
SwC Poker is run by pro poker player Bryan Micon. Micon is the chairman of SwC Poker and has been a large piece of the success of the site since its launch. Micon has made 14 final tables in his career with three wins, 42 cash ins and live tournament earnings of $473,423.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”bounceInUp”]
Cash Games
Cash games are the most popular at SWC Poker. They offer games in Limit & PL Omaha, Limit & PL Omaha Hi-Lo as well as NL Hold’em. The site averages around 100 players online at any given the time of day. You can always find a game of 1/2 NL Hold’em being played.
Tournaments
For a smaller site, SWC Poker offers many great tournaments. The largest is the “Big BTC” which is held every Sunday at 6 pm Eastern time. The buy-in is 2 BTC with a guaranteed prize pool of 60 BTC/60,000 seal chips. The prize pool can become even larger with more entries. Every hour at the middle of each hour they also offer a 400 seal chips guaranteed tournament. The buy-in is 45+5 SC. On the top of each hour, there are also turbo freerolls where you can win 50 chips prizes.
Competition
SwC Poker has average competition compared to most other sites. There is not a lot of fish out there, though. Most of the players at the site have played online poker before and have some knowledge of basic poker strategy. That is not to say that the tables are extremely hard either.
Promotions
The best promotion at SWC Poker is their table starter Rakeback. Few other online poker sites offer a promotion like this. If you start a new table and keep it going, you earn 50% Rakeback. The number of players at the table doesn’t matter as long as there is rake being produced.

Software
SwC Poker take their software security very seriously stating, “The SealsWithClubs management promises to vigorously defend the integrity of our games, and ask our community of players to always be watchful and report anything you feel needs our attention as soon as possible.” The graphics are not the best out there and look a little out dated, but they have added a number of features to the software like both downloadable, browser and Android versions.
Banking
SwC Poker runs exclusively on bitcoin and no other currencies; this makes for very fast and easy depositing and withdraws. If you do not currently use bitcoin you will need to find a bitcoin wallet before depositing on SwC Poker.
